Robert McGreevy has always been a marine artist in one way or another. Since his childhood days in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he has been attracted to seagoing vessels, perhaps due to the fact that he is part of a long line of shipbuilders. Specializing in the ships of the Great Lakes, he has studied and painted these vessels since he moved to Michigan in 1953. He attended formal art training, and is currently employed as a design artist for the Chrysler Corporation. Mr. McGreevy's marine paintings have been shown at the Great Lakes Historical Society in Ohio; the Museum of Arts and History in Port Huron; the Museum of the Great Lakes in Bay City; the Detroit Yacht Club; and the Great Lakes Shipwreck Festival.
