Kathleen Chaney Fritz is on her way to becoming one of America's most sought-after contemporary artists. Her works are sold in galleries across the country and abroad. Chaney Fritz's distinctive watercolors feature a realistic and sensitive approach to the nuances of the everyday life. Inspired by the shores and rolling dunes of West Michigan, Chaney Fritz developed and early interest in art. After graduating from Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids, MI, she pursued a career in commercial illustration. Her award winning work represented many major corporations, including American Seating, Brunswick, and Herman Miller. Her illustrations have appeared in such prominent publications as Time, Architectural Digest, and Southern Accents. In 1985, after a decade-plus of accomplishments as a commercial illustrator, Chaney Fritz decided to enter the world of fine art. Her painting of a Charlevoix harbor scene inspired her to publish her work as a poster to commemorate Michigan's prestigious Charlevoix Waterfront Art Fair, and her fine art career was set in motion. Kathleen Chaney Fritz continues to be in great demand for original works, many of which have become best selling posters and limited edition prints.
